Since the release of their awesome second album Our House on the Hill in 2012, The Babies—made up of former Woods member Kevin Morby and Vivian Girls member Cassie Ramone—kind of went on a bit of an indefinite hiatus. Sad face. During that time, Morby and Ramone have released solo projects, all of which are obviously great indie rock records. But! If you're like me and couldn't get enough of their work (in particular, how fucking great is "Get Lost"? Lost in youuuuuuu!), we have some good news. They've released outtakes from those recording sessions, and have decided to release them as a seven-inch through Woodsist. Cop it here. Below, we have the premiere of "Got Old." These tracks were recorded in California in February 2012 and were produced by Rob Barbato and engineered and mixed by Drew Fischer.And oh yeah, be sure to catch Kevin Morby on tour this spring.
