PREMIERE: Let Two Inch Astronaut Take You to Post-Punk School with “Andy's Progress Report"

The Maryland punks return with 'Personal Life,' produced by J. Robbins of Jawbox.

Let’s give credit where credit is due: DIY punk obsessives Dan Goldin and Dave Spak—the dudes behind the label Exploding In Sound Records—are the real deal for a ton of Massachusetts underground bands. Consider their roster: Stove, Big Ups, Pile, Kal Marks, Ex-Breathers, Blacklisters, Palm and Washer, and more.

Add Maryland’s Two Inch Astronaut into that pack of upstarts. It’s been a minute since the trio’s last zigzagging slab post-punkisms on 2014's Foulbrood. Now, they return with its follow up titled Personal Life, fittingly produced by D.C./Baltimore post-hardcore legend J. Robbins. Personal Life is speed-laced and screamy, like a rager for riff-centric brainiacs. Reminds us of J. Robbins’s very own Jawbox. Premiere of the cello-fueled, slow building and knotty sprawl of “Andy’s Progress Report” below and pre-order Personal Life here.
