Meek Mill was sentenced to two-to-four years in prison earlier this month for violating his probation on separate occasions. An outpouring of support from the hip-hop community and the city of Philadelphia have come as a result of his imprisonment, along with allegations of foul play from Judge Genece Brinkley. Now, Mill is filing a motion to be released from prison and for his probation to be terminated. His attorney, Joe Tacopina, confirmed the news with Billboard on Wednesday. Billboard reports that according to legal documents, Meek has also requested for "the recusal of Judge Brinkley from considering and ruling on that motion and from any further adjudicatory role in this case." A rally for Meek's release was held in his native Philadelphia on Monday night with support of public figures like Julius "Dr. J" Irving, Rick Ross, PNB Rock, and more.
