Everything You Need to Know About Noisey's Emerge Impact + Music Fest

It's Vegas, baby! Skip the tourist traps and long club lines this weekend and head straight to Emerge Impact + Music fest, three days of shows, speakers, and shenanigans across the Las Vegas Strip, presented by Noisey and our partners at A Beautiful Perspective.

From rap to country to house, there's a little something for everyone to discover from a crop of rising talent playing multiple venues around the Strip Friday through Sunday. Whether checking out a one-off showcase, or going all-in to make a weekend of it, we got options, so be sure to lock in your tickets.

There's a wild amount of stuff happening, all in one convenient walkable footprint. We've got all the goods and info you need about how it's all going down. Get to know some our favorite artists on the playlists below and read on for what's in store for the days ahead.

Kick things off with opening showcase Owning Your Voice (5-8 PM at the Mat Franco Theater at The Linq). The mix of talks and performances spotlights rising voices outside the mainstream, featuring Abir, Andy Langer, Dylan Marron, Latinos Who Lunch, Rotana and Residual Kid.

At 9 PM, head downtown to old Vegas to catch Waxahatchee at the Bunkhouse Saloon alongside rising country star Jonathan Terrell and Brendan Scholz from Mercy Music. There'll also be a special after-show performance from SXSW favorites Starcrawler and LA songstress Lauren Ruth Ward.

Back on the Strip at Brooklyn Bowl, Vegas burns as Cinderella shines at the Fairytale Ball (9 PM, red carpet premiere at 8 PM), a vogue extravaganza featuring ball scene icons Prince Miyake, Michael Roberson, Kumari Suraj, Jamari Blahnik, Jack Mizrahi, Pony Zion, DJ Mike Q, and Michell’e Michaels.

Head to Harrah's beginning at noon for the hot button discussion The Future of Truth (12-3 PM, Harrah's Showroom), then swing next door to Harrah's Cabaret for an afternoon double feature showcase featuring some of our favorite fresh voices in dance, hip-hop, and pop. Molly Kate Kestner, Troi Irons, and The Dirty Hooks get things going at noon; from 3-5:30 PM, get loose at sets from CupcakKe, Jubilee, Milo, Kemba, Malcolm London, Constantine, Ekoh, Mike Xavier and Karlea Boyer.

Keep the conversation going with talks like The Book of Me (2:30 PM – 3:30 PM, Bugsy's Cabaret at Flamingo), the tech futurist discussion The Space Between (4 PM – 7 PM, Harrah's Showroom), Side Eye (4:30 PM – 7:30 PM, Bugsy's Cabaret @ Flamingo), and the world premiere of a new gallery from notorious activist art collective Indecline (3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, The High Roller at The Linq Promenade).

Musically, don't miss enigmatic pop phenom Poppy (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM, The Mat Franco Theater at The Linq), a rock-centric showcase with The Palms, Warbly Jets, and more (8:00 PM – 11:59 PM, Harrah's Showroom), and a night of neo-soul with JMSN, B. Rose, and others at the Bunkhouse (8-11:59 PM).

Topping it off is the raucous Speaking Truth to Power (7:30-11:59 PM, Mat Franco Theater), spotlighting the sights and sounds of resistance and protest with favorites like Hurray for the Riff Raff, Jeff Rosenstock, Jena Friedman, Downtown Boys, Kalpulli Ehecatl, Crystál Xochitl Zamora, War on Women, Anis Mojgani, Kat Corbett, grandson and Mercy Music.

Cap off the weekend with discussions on Mental Health and Creativity featuring Noisey's own Andrea Domanick and others (11:30, Harrah's Showroom), Faith and Music with Madame Ghandi and more (12 PM, Harrah's Cabaret), and lots more.

The day's music is stacked with can't-miss acts, from an indie-country showcase featuring Kevin Morby and Gold Star (11-2 PM, Bugsy's Cabaret at Flamingo), the swoon and swagger of buzz darling Cuco, Kweku Collins, and more (3-7:30, Mat Franco Theater at The Linq), and the new shape of pop with showcases from Ofelia K and OK GO.

We'll be keeping things dark and scuzzy in the afternoon with a showcase from Lower Dens, alongside your future favorite garage heroes Goon, Pinky Pinky, and more (4-7:30 PM, Harrah's Cabaret). Then head to Brooklyn Bowl for the weekend's headlining bash, featuring sets from Twin Shadow, Rhye, Sabriel, and others, keeping the party going till midnight.
