In a perfect world, Maren Morris would be the country singer who crossed over into pop megastardom, not Taylor Swift. Morris' day is likely still to come but it's abundantly clear we don't live on that ideal planet yet. No matter, Morris is here and she's good as heck, demonstrating her skills and broad taste during a live set on the show of Nashville DJ Bobby Bones.Interspersed with her original material, Morris and her band covered country legend John Prine's "Angel from Montgomery" and modern legend Beyoncé's "All Night." It's a faithful cover, and Morris does the near-impossible job of living up to a Beyoncé vocal performance.
