Justin Timberlake: "Suit and Tie" (Feat Jay-Z)

Obviously it's great. But Jigga ruins the party.

The day is finally here. It’s like Christmas. There’s snow in England and Justin Timberlake has finally put out some new music! Yep. After counting down to another countdown and keeping us all balanced peripherally between excitement and bewilderment, JT has dropped his new single.

He’s on his suit and tie shit. The proper verse of this song is amazing. It makes me feel like I’m driving a purple cadillac through the sky whilst Prince blows bubbles from a party bag. It’s like we’re on the way back from a wedding. A joyous occasion where Justin has married himself and 2013 together. It’s all great.

Until Jay-Z turns up to ruin the party.

Obviously, this is pop music in 2013. New songs can’t come out without some nondescript rapper splurging over them. But surely this would have been better suited with longtime collaborator Pharrell, no? He could drop some falsetto. I’m almost certain it would elevate this track to audio orgasm levels. Instead, Jigga pulls the track out a little early, leaving it a little short from finishing.

But thankfully, we've got a full album to look forward to. In an open letter to his fans, Justin stated that his new record - 20/20 Experience - will be out later this year. Yet, I'm still bugging out that none of this was premiered on MySpace.
