Phoenix Showed Up on 'Fallon' For a Sun-Soaked Performance of New Single "J-Boy"

It's all in anticipation of new album 'Ti Amo,' dropping June 9

It wouldn't be a Phoenix performance if it didn't involve softly flashing lights, some questionable shirts and haircuts, and an intoxicating indie-pop track, so thankfully that's exactly what we got when the French collective rocked up to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night.

They were there to serve up their newest single "J-Boy," which, in the grand tradition of Phoenix, sounds almost exactly as though it was written to soundtrack a film where precisely nothing happens and everyone looks beautiful. It's taken from the band's new album Ti Amo, which is due 9th June, and, if "J-Boy" is anything to go by, it looks to be more than a worthy successor to 2013's excellent Bankrupt!
