In the True Spirit of 4/20, Wiz Khalifa Didn’t Get Us the Song He Said He Would Today

Being VIP influencers in the music "biz," we here at Noisey receive a lot of promising emails from many notable, exceedingly famous people. Like yesterday, for example, when we got an email from none other than THE Wiz Khalifa['s publicist]. Apparently Wiz was working on a remix with [very cool but very redacted artist], and, looking for an internet home for it, considered the very prestigious music blog Noisey.

"Sure," we said, as we polished off our YouTube award for exceeding the one-million subscriber mark. "We'd be interested in such a thing."

After all, today is the weed holiday known as 4/20, and Wiz is a known weed enthusiast who, as we noted earlier this week, is much better at smoking weed than Drake. But this morning, when the email hit our inbox, instead of the Soundcloud link to the song that we were expecting, we received the news that, in the true spirit of 4/20, the song was not yet finished.

So, we already had this post ready to go… but uh, we don't have the song. Sorry. Ummmm… we can recommend some other Wiz Khalifa songs for you, though.

This one is a classic, also about weed.

Um, what else what else… we mentioned that whole Drake not being able to smoke weed thing right? Funny stuff. Let's see… oh! Remember when Wiz pissed off Colombia by smoking next to Pablo Escobar's grave? That Wiz, always up to some weed hijinks. Oh right! And remember that time he got arrested for weed and posted a jail selfie? So Wiz, right?
