DMX has been facing legal trouble since January when he was arrested for failed drug tests that violated his probation for a tax evasion charge. He's been incarcerated since his arrest earlier this year, but with his upcoming sentencing he thinks he might need to try something he's never done before. His attorney, Murray Richman, released a statement yesterday that the rapper would be playing his music before the judge.Richman thinks it'll help District Judge Jed Rakoff see him in a different light. "It was a salvation of sort to shut out the noise," Richman said in the statement. "We are not here or desirous of molding him into what some may want to see; Earl is uniquely him and that is both his beauty of his mind and genius." Richman sent the court lyrics too, and he thinks it's proof DMX should be released so he can continue to make money to beat the initial tax evasion charges.If he's found guilty, DMX faces up to a five-year sentence.We suggest "Party Up (Up In Here)," "Get at Me Dog," and "Where The Hood At?"
