Migos' Video for "T-Shirt" Should Be a Nominee for Best Picture at the Oscars

Quavo for Best Director.

It would be a typical narrative to say that Migos have made a comeback since "Bad and Boujee," but the truth is that you were sleeping. They never stopped making quality music and now those loyal to the Triumvirate shall reap the rewards upon the release of Culture. The group has released a new single and video entitled "T-Shirt" and it's a masterpiece of aesthetic intent, casting Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff as fur trappers in a frostbitten Revenant-inspired forest setting.

The biggest revelation here is that Quavo's star turn in Atlanta has emboldened him, as he co-directed this video along with Daps. Call him Quavo Iñárritu, Quavo Lubezki, hell, Quavo DiCaprio. The man can do anything he sets his mind to. The "T-Shirt" video is an exploration of what happens when humanity confronts its true self. It is a meditation set to the boom of 808s and expressed through stunting on snowmobiles while wearing several pounds of fur. For your consideration, here's "T-Shirt."
