If you've ever watched British daytime telly you will know that it is absolutely crap. It's mostly people smashing down their sheds and replacing them with slightly better sheds or talk show hosts shouting at a pregnant teenager for making poor life decisions. At the same time, though, it is often the only thing that keeps me sane. The repetition, the anger, the fleeces; it brings me a sense of comfort and belonging in an otherwise stressful world full of fake news and avocado shortages. Basically what I'm trying to say is "your ex-girlfriend's favourite band" Los Campesinos! have just done a video for "5 Flucloxacillin" in which they try to fleece a load of old tat (including their own debut record) on a fake episode of Bargain Hunt and it is class."Doing music videos is something that we as a band absolutely dread, from concept to filming, and especially having to watch ourselves back," the Campesinos! tell us over email, "However, being stars of daytime TV is something we've always dreamed of. What we've ended up with is surely one of the most emotionally impactful clips in music video history, perfectly capturing the highs and lows of a life devoted to bargain hunting."I agree. You probably will too, after you give it a watch below.Los Campesinos! are on tour now in support of Sick Scenes which you can cop here or at one of the many, many dates below:February20th Seattle, WA The Neptune Theatre*
