Dizzee Rascal and Wiley's Longtime Beef Escalated Over the Weekend

Including: Twitter wars and a diss verse from Wiley.

The conflict between Dizzee Rascal and Wiley is nothing new: it's been raging on for years over an incident that took place in 2003, and earlier in 2017, Wiley seemed to breathe new life into it with a series of tweets, after hearing that Dizzee had recorded a diss track about him on new album Raskit. Though Wiley later indicated it was no big deal, over the weekend, the beef got going again, with barbs flying between the two rappers. Wiley even recorded a diss verse:

The situation got heated quickly, with the two trading barbs, including references to the Ayia Napa incident in 2003:

Eventually things got quite serious – in a response to another Twitter user, Dizzee wrote "Yeh I'm upset and people think it's funny they won't think it's funny till somebody dies that's how you lot operate innit." And though nothing was resolved, Dizzee called an end to things with a video on Instagram, intended to leave fans with "positive vibes." While it's not clear where this will go next, it unfortunately seems quite far from over.
