Want To Break Up with Your Partner? Here's Haerts' Uncertainty Anthem "Your Love"

"I don't want your love, if you can breathe without it," sings Nini Fabi on the band's comeback track.

Like algebraic geometry or thinking about where gusts of wind come from, love can be really confusing. At its highest point, giving and receiving love is not so dissimilar to every heart-rendering, fulfilling montage from within cinematic history. At its lowest, the throes of companionship can turn even the greatest of people into the most desperate and ugly – or at the least, scared, confused, lost and alone, trapped, in a situation they're not sure about anymore.

In this latter situation the love you have for one another continues to exist but as time goes on, it starts to create a whirlwind of anxiety – I love this person, but do I want to be with them forever? Why aren't things how they used to be? Do they still love me? I'm just not sure about anything, anymore.

It's this situation that has, in one way or another, informed Haerts' new track "Your Love".

"It's the crazy and almost reckless feeling that comes with the uncertainty of a love. The wish for answers that can't be given, or an endpoint that I think does not exist," says lead singer Nini Fabi. "I don't want to love you if you can't love me now. ["Your Love"] is about trying to rationalize something that can't be rationalized."

The track itself is both raw and honest, as it describes a situation Fabi and her partner (and fellow Haerts member) both went through personally. "Your Love" is the first piece of music – a new page in a new chapter – from the group, who are set to release a new record later this year. Listen below.
