Listen to Alex Cameron Covering Paul Kelly's Classic "Before Too Long"

Alex Cameron has taken a crack at covering Paul Kelly for Amazon's 'Made in Australia' playlist series. Aided by regular collaborators Roy Molloy on horn and Unknown Mortal Orchestra's Jacob Portrait on guitar, Cameron's version of "Before Too Long," which we're premiering below, is a brooding update on the Australian classic. "Paul Kelly's songs have been with me my whole life," says Cameron, "Always wished I wrote this one. Man. Feels good."

At times Alex Cameron's albums feel like attempts at emulating Australia's long and storied canon of ocker rock legends, so "Before Too Long" feels like a perfect fit in his hands. The LA-based musician's been busy of late –– aside from his Angel Olsen duet "Stranger's Kiss" coming in at number 1 on our top songs of 2017, Cameron also played Laneway Festival nationally and is heading out on a bunch of shows with The Killers and Body Type over April and May.
