What Beyoncé, Drake, and Others Are Doing to Help Hurricane Harvey Victims

Solange and Bun B are also among the Houstonians doing their part to aid those affected by flooding in Texas.

In the wake of devastating, fatal floods in southeast Texas as a result of Hurricane Harvey, musicians who hail from Houston and the surrounding areas are giving back to their hometown. Chiefly, proud Houstonian Beyoncé announced that she is working with her BeyGOOD team "on the ground" to help citizens. A post on her Facebook page urges fans to donate to the groups Bread of Life and the Greater Houston Community Foundation. You can find the links for both here.

Elsewhere, we have Drake—who is not from Houston but has been affiliated with the city for nearly a decade—sharing that he has donated $200,000 to a YouCaring page run by Houston Texans football player J.J. Watt which has currently raised more than $10 million. You can find Drake's video of support below.

Solange also announced a benefit show in Boston for September, and veritable Houston legend Bun B is planning a similar show that'll be aired on four different networks. Of course, Trae tha Truth may have outdone everyone here by literally rescuing people from the floodwaters in a boat, but heroism is heroism no matter what form it takes.
