Tyga Says He Doesn't Know What Furry Porn Is But I Don't Believe Him

Hajime Sorayama's art for his new album features an incredibly detailed nude of some sort of feline-human hybrid. But sure, you don't know what furries are. Sure.

Loathe as I am to give any attention to a transparent attempt to bait the press into writing about heinous shit, well, Tyga emerged yesterday with an album cover that could most charitably be called "confrontational," but might better be described as "disrespectful to the Japanese flag," and "straight-up furry porn," as some astute commentators have noted in the hours since its release. Today, the intrepid celebrity-botherers over at TMZ (via Stereogum) caught up with him to ask him just what in the sam hell was going on with that art, and while I'm generally not interested in his rationale for making a piece of art that's pretty transparently sexist and racially charged at the very least, I was intrigued toward the end when he claimed to be ignorant to the existence of the furry porn.

When pressed by TMZ's videographer, he stares into the camera, seemingly pleading to the public. "Nah, I don't even know what that is," he claims. While I fully admit that I have no concrete proof, and that my brain might simply be hopelessly broken by too many years on the internet, I find this incredibly hard to believe, if only because the furry lifestyle is virtually a part of the mainstream these days. I mean, every tweet at the official Frosted Flakes is full of people with cartoon animal avatars asking to be plowed by Tony the Tiger. Surely, Tyga too has seen the thirst for his distant cousin Tony and become curious who these anthropomorphic owls with humanoid genitalia are. I know that look of recognition he gives the camera, that smile and shrug of not wanting to acknowledge what you've seen in the depths of DeviantArt in the light of day.

But even if we take him at his word, given the graphic nature of Hajime Sorayama's depiction of the tiger-woman hybrid on the cover of the record, I firmly believe that as soon as Tyga laid eyes on that art, he was no longer unexposed to furry porn. Like all erotic art, it's a "you know it when you see it" sorta situation, even if you don't have the vocabulary to quite understand it.

That art's below if this sounds like something you might be into. I don't want to yuck anyone's yums.
