Devz' "WhoWhatWhere" Music Video is Finally Here, Thank God

The best song of 2016 finally has an official visual.

Often, the best songs have a profound social impact. This is what makes "WhoWhatWhere" by east London MC Devz, a song that started off as a freestyle but gained a second life as a meme – but also as a philosophical tract for the social media age – an important track of our time.

Originally Devz made a name for himself with the song back in November. Now he's back with a studio version of the freestyle and a music video with extremely high production values. And again, he's asking the big questions: "Who," "what," and indeed, "where." You can watch and listen above.

You'll notice that it's been a while since the track was on the cultural radar, and Devz' decision to bring it back to our attention is well-timed. Perhaps it's intended as a reminder of the importance of paying close attention during the current UK election campaigns; perhaps he is telling us not to accept media bias, but to query "how did we get right there?" Or maybe he sensed that we needed a banger – something familiar, but revamped – to get us through what are extremely trying times. Either way, the studio version is actually completely class and I would wager that it'll get you out of your Monday funk. Remind yourself of the original to help you along with that:
