N.E.R.D.'s and Future's "1000" Video Is All About Embracing the Fight

The video features clips of American protests and interviews with a young Mike Tyson.

N.E.R.D.'s new album No_One Ever Really Dies can't come fast enough. The iconic Virginia band has been teasing star-studded, bass-heavy collaborations for the past month with songs like "Lemon" with Rihanna and "Rollinem 7s" with Andre 3000. They continued the tease last week when they dropped "1000," an unsuspecting Future-featuring song in which every second feels like it's being bombarded by drums.

That song has a video now and it isn't what most people would expect. Neither N.E.R.D. or Future make any appearances. Instead, it features dancer Mette Towley (who got her head shaved by Rihanna in the "Lemon" video) and jumps between clips of various protests throughout the U.S. There's also footage of an old Mike Tyson interview in which the boxer talks about dealing with fear before every fight. Much like the song, there's a lot going on. Watch the video above.
