Let Jesse James Solomon Lead You into Darkness on "GOAT Talk"

Watch the southeast London rapper perform his single for us at London's YouTube Space Studios.

It's the sound of slick tyres sliding along a wet street. You've reached that point in the night when you've somehow ended up on your own, rain coming at your face diagonally and the last train or tube now the faint outline of a past memory. At times like these, you need the ideal soundtrack to the inky sky, hood-up drudgery of the long walk home.

Enter Jesse James Solomon, a southeast London rapper who we've had our eye on for the past couple of years. His introspective lyrics lope over a stuttering and woozy beat on single "GOAT Talk", which he performed for us as part of our week celebrating the Greatest UK MCs of All Time  in early February. We're marking Jesse out as one of the new breed of UK rap talents to look out for, where he rounds off a series of live performances that also included Brummie rapper Mist and London's Flohio. Watch Jesse perform "GOAT Talk" under the bright lights, hype-manned by Suspect OTB, below.

You can see grime legend D Double E's live performance of his single "How I Like It" from this evening here, and check out all our coverage of the top 30 greatest UK MCs ever right here.
