Following the success of Boy Better Know's O2 Arena Takeover, and the cancellation of Apple Music Festival, it seems that there's both a demand for live urban music events, and a gap in the market for big, headline-grabbing concerts, in the UK's capital.

That's where Spotify come in. Today they're announcing their first ever live event, Who We Be Live, due to take place at London's Alexandra Palace on November 30, and honestly, it sounds amazing. They say it's a "celebration of the best of urban, grime and hip hop from the UK and beyond, all under one roof," and with the list of artists confirmed, they're not wrong. Slated to perform are Dizzee Rascal, Giggs, J Hus, Bugzy Malone and Stefflon Don, as well as the summer's breakout US rap star Cardi B – all of whom feature on Spotify's Who We Be playlist.

In the coming days, those artists' most active Spotify listeners and subscribers to the Who We Be playlist will be contacted and given the opportunity to buy pre-sale tickets to the event. If you're not part of that lucky group, it goes on general sale at 9am on Monday 11 September here, and you'd be silly to miss what will easily be one of the most *flame emoji* nights of the year.
