Last September, Gnarwolves gifted us with their debut eponymous album, which came in the wake of years spent ripping through the UK punk scene and conquering others overseas with a series of EPs so blistering they could give you a tan. Now, they're about to drop a brand new EP called Adolescence, and we're premiering the second track "Daydreamer" from it below.Following on from the first EP taster "The Waiting Line", which saw Gnarwolves Cru headbanging the shit out of their tour van - or "skrambulance", if you will - "Daydreamer" is harder, faster, and more frustrated than anything that has come before. It takes agitated cues from DC hardcore and blends them with the band's signiature melodic sensibilities, which turns everything they write into an adhesive.Vocalist Thom Weeks says: "This song is about the struggle to come to terms with a society that expects you to take a certain path. Get a job, buy a house, have kids. We're constantly told what is expected of us and what it means to achieve and be successful. The song deals with the feelings of isolation and anxiety that come with not fitting in with mainstream thought, and not having the desires we're told we're supposed to have. Sonically, it's a punch in the face and Max and Charlie absolutely smash the rhythm section on the outro".Listen below:
