Future and Nas Hang Out in a Lounge on DJ Esco's "Walk Thru"

Another new 'Kolorblind' cut materializes, uniting old rap with the new on a monstrously chill beat.

DJ Esco will not let up in the rollout for his upcoming album Kolorblind, a project that will likely kick Future Hendrix season back into gear for something like the fifth time this decade. After the opening salvo of "Code of Honor," Esco has dropped a new single called "Walk Thru" that's a true meeting of rap greats from two different generations: Future and Nas.

It's genuinely thrilling to hear Future's staccato hook run into Nas' commanding flow on a chilled-out, condensation-soaked beat that finds the halfway point between the former's Southern low-riding sound and the latter's timeless NYC jazziness. It's lounge-rap for oldheads and the new-school. You can listen to Esco and Escobar meet on "Walk Thru" above.
