Twist's New Video For "Slums and Seaports" Makes You Feel Like You're Inside of the Internet

Twist's new video for "Slums and Seaports" allows you to feel like you're inside of the butthole of someone's Tumblr page.

Toronto-based Laura Hermiston and producer Brian Borcherdt (AKA the dude from Holy Fuck) make up a little duo called Twist–and their new video for "Slums and Seaports" allows you to feel like you're inside of the butthole of someone's Tumblr page. Seriously, like:

META!!!

TUMBLR!!!

TUMBLR!!!

This hazey, lo-fi music would normally warrant some predictable VHS video filmed out the window of a moving car with edited light leaks and someone's backyard, which is pretty inherently lame. So it's encouraging to see a band put forth an amazingly well-done video that I could have watched for two more hours. The song itself is airy and haunting, with buzzed out guitars and a drum-machine that builds up throughout the entirety of the track.
