Solids Imagine Life with Lobster Claws in Their Video for "Off White"

Life can be tough when you’re young. There are all sorts of terrible pitfalls awaiting you, like getting a really ugly zit on the morning of your prom, achingly waiting out the years of gangly awkwardness or baby fat until you grow into your own body, or having to deal with your horrifying teeth with much sexier braces. But it’s safe to say you’ll likely never have to deal with having lobster claws for hands.

Our hero in the new video for “Off White” by scuzzy Montreal guitar and drums duo Solids isn’t so lucky. It’s bad enough he’s got to deal with having a hard time wearing mittens and using utensils, but there’s also some shitty dude who helps Lobster Boy kick off his day by vandalizing his junky car with a ketchup bottle. Life’s a bitch and then you die, right? Until something happens and things aren’t so bad anymore.

“We think the clip is more like some kind of a “stop thinking, just feel” experience,” bandmates Xavier Germain Poitras and Louis Guillemette say about the new video. “There are just so many feels to be felt. Embrace them all.”
