Fans of Kaytranada likely noticed the addition of female vocals over top of his recent single "Leave Me Alone", off his upcoming XL Records release. The voice in question belongs to Montreal's future R&B star, Shay Lia, who is prepared to take over the fall with her smooth new song, "3 Months". Produced by Kaytranada, the video shows the heroine going through each stage of grief as she goes three months without seeing her boyfriend.Shay Lia's voice is soft and angelic, and laid over top of Kaytranada's disco-funk inspired production makes it sound like both a throwback and a futuristic single at the same time.
