Premiere: Pimpton Invites You to His Twisted Carnival in "Buck Up"

Is this the next artist to sign to 300?

One of the most promising rappers involved in the beef that's threatening to tear apart Western Canada is Pimpton, an eccentric rapper coming out of the middle of Canada. Pimpton is a member of CJE, a group that is allied with the Battleaxe Warriors, and brings an animated and creative energy to the squad. And if "Buck Up" is any indication, he applies this same energy to his beat selection and video direction. Rapping over top of a demented carnival jingle, Pimpton runs through rail yards and graveyards with his pals while rapping in a twisted flow, and manages to hold your attention throughout the video thanks to his colourful personality. It's no surprise that Pimpton has been in talks with 300 about a potential deal.

"Shooting with Stuey Kubrick is always hype as fuck," says Pimpton over email. "The music itself has this carnival, gypsy-esque feel to it. Also shoutout to all the warriors that cleared their schedules to get buck wit us."
