A$AP Ferg Keeps it Short and Sharp with "Verified" and "Not the Boy"

The two songs together don't scratch the four-minute mark, but there's still time for a Madonna reference and a Grey Poupon reference.

A$AP Ferg has followed up his four-song #TrapLordTuesday revival with two new songs. "Verified" and "Not the Boy" are both short, sharp kicks to the pit of the stomach. The former has him bragging about his blue checkmark on Instagram and Twitter, rapping about the time he made a song with Madonna, and little else. The whole thing's done with in two minutes, but it's still a better advert for social media verification than yesterday's country music PSA. "Not the Boy" is shorter still, but its club-ready beat and more involved lyrics make it seem like a fully formed song rather than a late-night SoundCloud hit. He also gives Grey Poupon, hip-hop's preferred mustard, a shout-out. Listen to both songs below.
