Brampton's K. Forest Wants to "LINK" Up In His Debut Video

The Travis Scott collaborator shows us what's like it have a chill night in the GTA.

When Travis Scott's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight dropped last year, no one expected to hear Brampton artist K. Forest's Soundcloud hit "Guidance" on it. Yet—almost four months later—the track is one of the most recognizable records from La Flame's 2016 masterpiece. (If you haven't yelled 'I ROLL UP BEHIND IT, I WANNA TRY IT, GRIP ON YA WAIST, BUST UP THE PLACE, TANTALIZING" at the club yet—I'm so, so sorry for you.)

In the very short time since Scott's release, Forest has gone from relative obscurity to releasing his debut project, Eyes of Taiga—securing a tight cult following because of it. "Link"—one of the main singles of that project—got its own video treatment recently. Created by none other than Toronto cinematographer Ali Khurshid, he also happens to be the director of photographer at Kid. Studio (well known for their legendary work with Toronto artists like The Weeknd and Roy Woods). The video is a trippy, glitched look at what it's like to smoke piff and cool out in Brampton at night. You can watch it for the first time here on Noisey, check it out below:
