Speng Squire Raps Like He's Indestructible On His New Banger "Ways"

The Montreal native is one to keep a laser-focused eye on.

Speng Squire is a Quebec rapper with a hungry snarl that distinguishes him from the CanRap pack. His single "In the Fire" sounds like both heaven and hell opening up and unleashing Squire's Godzilla-breath flow unto the world. That song is the first single from his upcoming album Expressions of Now and we have another track from the project in the form of "Ways." Outfitted with a metallic, club-ready beat by Sevn Thomas that hisses and clangs like old factory machinery, Squire compares himself to Toronto Raptors player and NBA All Star DeMar DeRozan and basically raps like he's Iron Man in the Hulkbuster armour while also making room for mini-hooks and hints of melody.

"After listening to the project, I realized that I'm rapping my ass off on almost every song and just needed something that people can sing along to," says Squire. "Not to say that I dumbed it down, but 'Ways' is definitely one of the more catchier records that I feel everyone can vibe along to. I also didn't want to be boxed as just a "spitter" so I loosened up and had fun with this one" Listen to "Ways" below.
