PREMIERE: Disorient Yourself in OVER's Trippy "Gone Are The Days" Video

Toronto electric shoegaze duo puts us in a dream-like state in their latest video.

The minds behind Toronto's psych band Ten Kens have decided to return with a new and refashioned sound. Replacing the drums and guitars to introduce synths, drum machines, and vocal distortion to the new mix, Ten Kens become OVER, a psychedelic digital shoegaze duo with slight experimental tendencies. Set in the backdrop of a cactus garden, "Gone Are The Days" consists of plenty of double exposed shots and a whole bunch of layering, with the music video's tone fitting perfectly as a parallel to the daze of a track. With themes varying from death, love, and birth, the video explores what it is that makes us human.

Much like a dream, the music video comprises of an eclectic collection of seemingly meaningless scenes stitched together. "We both seem to live in a perpetual state of nostalgia. This is where 'Gone Are The Days' was born, from our love of the past and our constant struggle to reinvent it. They say the lowest form of conversation is 'remember when', but we seem to find the bulk of our solace there, so we decided to make a nest, then make a song." Dan Workman of OVER explains.
