Trinidad James, Mystikal, and Lil Dicky's Body Positive "Just a Lil Thick" Could Use More Positivity

This is not how you do this...

So… the intention of "Just a Lil Thick (She Juicy)," a new DJ Mustard cut starring ATL's Trinidad James, sometime No Limit all-star Mystikal, and brat rap goof Lil Dicky, appears to be to celebrate women left out of our too-narrow societal view of beautiful bodies. And if it accomplished what it set out to do, this would be a write up about how refreshing that could be for rap radio. Unfortunately, "Just a Lil Thick (She Juicy)" is full of pat, corny stereotypes about women who love food being better cooks and sex partners.

First off, who doesn't love food? Secondly, there has to be a better way for this to have gone down. Sample quotes: "I'm talkin cook, clean, kids, man, and swallow a dick / You never see a big hoe beggin' for shit / And if you fuck her good she might buy you a whip / And if you say you love her she might pay the rent." "Big girl a freak, man, you know that she with it." "I'm seeing her later on, and she know I'm bringin' a plate."
