Oh, No: Motörhead Have Cancelled More Shows in the Wake of Lemmy's Latest Health Scare

More bad news for the metal gods' 'Bad Magic' tour.

Motörhead's having a rough time on this current tour. Even as the hard-living metal legends celebrated the release of Bad Magic, their 22nd studio album, iconic frontman Lemmy Kilmister has found himself repeatedly sidelined by health issues, forcing the band to cancel a string of shows. A heartbreaking video showed the beloved frontman stopping mid-song to say, "I can't do it," and leave the stage at their Austin show earlier this week, and fans have been consumed by worry for his well-being (as well as the future of the band itself).

Just today, word spread that more shows have been called off, this time in Dallas and Houston. A post from the bad's official Facebook page stated, "Regrettably Motörhead have had to cancel their Dallas and Houston appearances. Saxon will still be playing in each city (please check local media for up-to-date venue information). Lemmy fully intends to resume touring duties as, and when, his doctors give him the all-clear. STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES, and as always, THANK YOU for your support, understanding and good wishes."

An earlier post from September 2 referred to the "altitude issues" that caused Lemmy problems at the Salt Lake City and Denver, saying, "As you might have heard, Motörhead again had to abbreviate a performance due to Lemmy not feeling well. This is a DIRECT follow-on from the altitude issues in Colorado, and clearly, Lemmy tried to get back at it too quickly. For this reason, Motörhead will not play in San Antonio tonight, but the show will still go on with Saxon headlining. Lemmy will resume duties the moment he is PROPERLY rested and firing on all cylinders again. The legendary Motörheadbanger patience is much appreciated, and the band send their deepest thanks. More details will be released soon."

Take all the time you need, Lemmy. We'll be here waiting for you once you're ready to come back.
