Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile's collaborative LP Lotta Sea Lice came in at number 29 on Noisey's 100 Best Albums of 2017 list. Our own Eric Sundermann described it as "a record [that] makes so much sense that whoever is the President of Indie Rock needs to be impeached for not making it happen sooner"; upon its release, Colin Joyce got caught up in the daydream vibe of the record. It's a little glimmer of baggy, woozy sunshine that turns up, makes you feel fuzzy, then vanishes too quickly, like a crate of domestic beer on the beach.Barnett and Vile took four of the record's songs to NPR recently for a Tiny Desk Concert and you can watch the performance in at the top of the page. They played "Over Everything," "Continental Breakfast," "Blue Cheese," and "Let It Go," smiling their way through each song, breezing past each other's lines. You should watch the whole thing.
