Nardwaur’s Radio Station Will Hold a 20-Hour Marathon of His Interviews

As is right and proper.

There are two objectively good things on this sorry planet and they are hash browns and Nardwuar. Neither need any introduction, but for the uninitiated: one is a perfect potato snack, and the other is the world's finest music journalist who is JAY-Z and Pharrell's interviewer of choice, and whose infectious joy and tireless research mean he has been at the top of his game for 30 years.

In the coming weeks (on 21 September, to be specific), Nardwuar will officially mark 30 years of his radio show on Vancouver's CiTR.109 FM. The occasion will be celebrated by a 20-hour-long broadcast of Nardwuar interviews from 1987 to today – these include conversations with artists from Destiny's Child to Blur, and recently, with DRAM, Snoop Dogg, and basically anyone else you can conceive of. On 23 September, he'll also play a show with his band The Evaporators at Vancouver venue The Hall.

The marathon broadcast is a fitting tribute to the best to ever do it – I actually often wish that there was just a radio station playing Nardwuar interviews constantly, to tune into when I'm feeling sad, so 20 hours of his specific brand of genius is a treat. I don't think I am alone when I say: doot doola doot doo, forever and ever.
