Omari Jabari's "Homesick" Is a Thoughtful Ode to Your Spiritual Centre

The Toronto rapper drops a new song that finds him exploring a fresh emotional side of his music.

Today is Eid al-Fitr if you're part of the Muslim community, which means that you've stopped fasting for Ramadan and go out in extremely cool clothes to celebrate. Toronto area rapper Omari Jabari just got finished observing Ramadan and, with perfect timing, has dropped a new song called "Homesick" that captures the many positive feelings that come with the holiday, though it's not about it at all.

The track's much more good-natured than Omari's typically menacing music, with chilled-out keys taking precedence behind the rapper's scratchy singing. It's a love song to a person, but also to any place that feels like a centre for the soul or the spirit. Watch the video for "Homesick" above.
