Liam Gallagher Wages Another War on Noel and "That Gobshite Out of Blur," Obviously

It was only a matter of time, really.

There is no celebrity beefer more committed than Liam Gallagher. Liam Gallagher is the beef king: he is constantly, almost lovingly creating new beeves, and he drags up old ones with more finesse than your mom turning literally any ordinary conversation into an interrogation about why you don't call her every day.

And despite his ability to pick a fight with any person, thing, or metaphysical concept, I would wager that the two great beeves of Liam Gallagher's life are thus: his ongoing feud with his brother Noel, who he has made a habit of publicly insulting pretty much since Oasis split in 2009, and Oasis' age old Britpop rivalry with Blur.

So imagine Liam's delight when his brother, the potato, joined forced with "that gobshite out of Blur" (Damon Albarn, fyi) for a new Gorillaz track, "We Got the Power," taken from their fourth album Humanz which is released today (April 28). In fact, you don't have to imagine. See the beef for yourself. Wrap yourself in it, be enveloped by this beef blanket:

As you were.

It seems that the tweets (which, in case you didn't catch it, negatively compare Albarn and his brother to Mick Jagger and David Bowie) came in response to comments made by the two new BFFs in an interview with Vulture—Albarn correctly predicted that Liam might "have a fantastic one-liner about what a bunch of fucking knobheads we are," whereas Gallagher was slightly less diplomatic. When asked whether he thought Liam would approve of the collaboration, Noel stated, in an almost zen-like assembly of words that could only possibly emerge from the lips of someone who has had to deal with Liam Gallagher for his entire life: "Listen, nobody gives a fuck what Liam thinks about anything".

The Gallagher beef train rolls on. I am delighted.
