Petty-Ass Ne-Yo Took the Mic from Someone Singing His Song at Karaoke

You didn't have to do this, bruv.

We've seen this happen before: a former star artist quietly exits the prime of their career and starts to feel a bit lost as to how to capture that once so-delicious taste of fame. But there should be limits for how they try to reclaim that admiration. It should probably stop right before cockblocking somebody at a karaoke bar, who's singing because they're either ridiculously drunk or trying to have some innocent fun with the homies.

Yet, that's exactly what Ne-Yo did just last night. The now not-so-popular singer was out on the town when he heard a dude on stage trying to pull off his former smash hit, "Because of You." So, instead of letting the poor man rock out, Ne-Yo did what attention-hungry haters do: went on stage and took the mic away and started to perform the song himself. TMZ caught him in the irredeemable act, and to you, it might look like Ne-Yo's doing the crowd a favor by giving them the unexpected real thing, but all I see here is peak pettiness. SMFH.
