Wyclef Jean's Tiny Desk Concert Is Scientifically Proven to Make You Happy

NPR's Tiny Desk series is one of the most unadulteratedly good things on the internet—free of cynicism, it's just great musicians playing special versions of their own music, with the small physical space forcing them to take it back to basics. It's the best.

Today's installment is extra special. It comes courtesy of Wyclef Jean, who played three songs ("Borrowed Time," "Turn Me Good," and "Gone Till November") over the course of an extremely lovely 25 minutes. As an added bonus, he punctuated the set with stories about some of the people he has worked with over the course of his career, the most heartwarming of which concerns his experiences of recording with the late, great Whitney Houston. He shared his part in the making of "My Love Is Your Love," and talked about how her ear for music was far better trained than his own, adding, "I figured at the Tiny Desk—everybody be sayin', you know, sad stories about Whitney—I figured I'd tell you something beautiful about Whitney Houston."

The entire thing vibrates on a similarly lovely frequency, and if you need some TLC, you'd do worse than sitting down with this. See it above.
