Watch 6LACK's Interview with Zane Lowe, Launching Apple Music's 'Up Next' Series

The Atlanta artist discusses his inspirations.

Seeing as his brand of murky R&B couldn't be more "now" if it tried, it's fitting that Atlanta singer 6LACK is the subject of the first instalment of Up Next, a new series by Apple Music that seeks to better acquaint audiences with artists-on-the-rise through performances, exclusive live EPs, and even appearances on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Naturally, a Zane Lowe interview is also a requirement.

6LACK speaks to the Beats 1 DJ about his name ("I'd see the number all the time. I'd look at the clock and it's 6 o' clock. I was born in the 6th month. If you're from Atlanta you'll understand that name off the bat.") and being inspired by the Weeknd back in 2011 ("I was only 18 or 19 at the time so I'm just like 'if he's producing this great of a product at this age, what am I doing here?'") Watch 6LACK's full interview above.
