One of 2017's Best Tracks is Back Online

Superorganism's "Something For Your M.I.N.D" is a hyperactive triumph.

Sure, music is subjective and the human brain responds to stimuli in completely different ways. But if there's one track this year that's managed to reanimate a certain genre, in this case guitar music, it's Superorganism's "Something For Your M.I.N.D". If bands like Beck or Pavement or some other snotty nosed variant are your bag, you've likely already heard their wonky pop track.

Released a few months ago, the track instantly catapulted the band into mild fame and landed them plays on Frank Ocean and Ezra Koenig's radio shows. And then: the track went offline. The band signed to Domino, lead singer and Japanese student Orono moved across to London and Superorganism released a new double A-side single in "It's All Good / Nobody Cares". But "Something For Your M.I.N.D" remained hidden, a kind of holy grail, existing only in shared MP3 form – kind of similar to the way new bands would blow up years ago in a pre-Soundcloud, Hype Machine era.

Today that track has been given a full single release and video. Watch that below and see the first press shot of the eight-piece collective above. One of them is on a poster, others, like Orono, have also moved countries (from places like New Zealand and Australia) into a DIY-studio-household-thing in Homerton, east London. Enjoy the shit out of this brand new thing.
