D.R.A.M. Pays for an Uber and Attends an Orgy on Two Day-Drunk New Tracks

"The Uber Song" and "Group Thang (Demo)" capitalize on his special inebriated talents.

If you—sober and anxious, with naught but coffee in your veins—encounter a drunk person as you go about your day, you will likely find it an unwelcome intrusion. This person smells of cheap liquor; they are slurring their words, loudly telling you lewd stories in public. Maybe you would find this person fun after some drinks of your own, but right now you have coffee and anxiety to get back to. This person is an unwelcome reminder of the fact that, no, you cannot sip mixed drinks in the sunshine right now because you have a job and you used all your vacation days to go to a wedding or something.

Shelley Marshaun Massenburg-Smith has a gift for being precisely that drunk guy and still making you want to hang out. He released two new songs last night, "The Uber Song" and "Group Thang (Demo)." The first has him spending a little over $20 on an Uber for his girl to join him in his bed; the second is about his penchant for orgies. He slurs his way through both like a 2AM lush with data to waste on inappropriate texts and, even at 11AM on a Friday, with gentle R&B backing him up, you'll just listen and giggle along.
