The Scenes of Life is Beautiful Day 3: Supermoon Mayhem and a 'Killer' Surprise in Las Vegas

Hometown heroes The Killers appeared for a surprise set halfway through frontman Brandon Flowers' scheduled solo slot, sending screaming fans running to the main stage to join in on some of the biggest sing-a-longs of the weekend.

The third annual Life Is Beautiful festival went down in downtown Las Vegas this weekend, bringing some of the biggest names in music, food, art and learning to the neon-lit desert landscape. Art commissioned for the festival transformed the city's developing downtown with murals and installations from local artists and international names like Banksy, D*Face and 1010, while festival-goers took breaks from 100-degree heat to check out lectures and demonstrations by everyone from Bill Nye to chef Hubert Keller. Fans reveled in a rare supermoon eclipse as acts like Kendrick Lamar, Weezer, Run the Jewels, Death Cab for Cutie, Against Me! and more closed out the three-day celebration.
