Premiere: Toronto Is a Prime Place to Stunt for Jay Whiss’s “Watch This”

The Prime Boy member outlines the finer aspects of flexing.

Fresh off a premier spot on Drake’s OVO Sound radio show, we now have the full-length version of Jay Whiss's standout track “Watch This.” Underlined by alternating chord strings, slowed down to their breaking point, the Prime Boy member drops semi-drill inflected verses about being on that “hot shit.” If you weren’t paying attention to Whiss, Jimmy Johnson and the rest of the guys before, you probably should now.

"I was on a long drive back from Windsor at like four in the morning and I was really just feeling myself and the beat," says Whiss. "It's been a long long time since I've officially released any solo material so I wanted to write a song I knew I would have an impact and give insight on what's been going on with me."
