Turns out that in their hard-earned downtime, the members of Gorillaz are quite the bedroom DJs. Hot on the heels of bassist Murdoc's, let's say, alternative Christmas playlist, the band's guitarist Noodle has now shared an all-woman Soundcloud mix via Instagram.
In a comment accompanying the Instagram post, Noodle, herself a trailblazing female musician, wrote: "In search of new sounds and new inspiration, I found these kick-ass women who in their own individual ways are true pioneers in the writing, production and creation of MUSIC. They have inspired me, and I hope they inspire you too."
Titled 私 Noodle (which translates as Me, Noodle), and featuring music by Grimes, Empress Of, ABRA and more, it's a fun, diverse mix that kind of has me hoping that Noodle's next project will be DJ-ing at my new favourite clubnight.
