I'm gonna say it: we simply have too many ways to communicate with one another these days. I really believe that. We are too connected, which means that we are always connected, which means that if we happen to be, say, a member of a nu-metal group, and we happen to talk shit about an ex-member of a nu-metal group on a podcast, then some drama is going to start. If there was simply less communication, we would not have this problem.However, without all this communication technology, there would also be significantly fewer lols, so scratch everything I just said. Plus, heartbreakingly, I wouldn't be able to sit here typing into a rectangle about how Limp Bizkit and Staind, once forever friends, are now warring because of something flaming someone else on a podcast (surely the middle-aged online dad equivalent of like, crashing your car into the front of another person's home.) Speaking on "Talk Toomey," Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland brought up Staind's Aaron Lewis, and told an anecdote about a short confrontation he had with Lewis in an airport. Then… the gloves were taken the good fuck off and Borland continued, laying into Lewis' country career:

Well goddamn. Obviously Lewis responded, during a show in Las Vegas. He told pretty much the same story of their airport encounter (though his version is better, and includes the sentence "I saw this motherfucking bougie motherfucker riding on a fucking golf cart in the airport to his gate," and I have never been more grateful for sheer language,) and basically expressed his opinion that Borland is no longer a real one, adding, "You’re a real person.
