The EP hit streaming services first thing Friday morning after Tesfaye teased a new project in a spate of social media posts earlier in the week. In one, a screenshot of a text message conversation, Tesfaye wrote: "should we drop Friday? I'm indifferent to be honest."

My Dear Melancholy, is the singer's record since 2016's Starboy. That album went to the top of the Billboard charts, buoyed by the Daft Punk-featuring singles "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming." This year, The Weeknd appeared alongside Kendrick Lamar and SZA on "Pray for Me," the last song on the Black Panther soundtrack.

Update: Predictably steamy videos for "Try Me" and "Call Out My Name" appeared on Spotify overnight. They're both exclusive to the streaming service.
