Police Investigating Alleged Mosh Pit Sexual Assault At UNIFY Gathering

Festival organisers are ‘disgusted and appalled’ about the alleged incident.

Organisers of the 2017 UNIFY Gathering are working with Victorian Police in investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred at the music festival in Tarwin Meadows on Friday night.

Investigators have been told the female victim was with a group of friends in the mosh pit near the front of the stage about 10pm. An unknown person approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her. The victim was surrounded by people so was unable to see who the offender was. She immediately left the area and notified police.

We won't stand for it and we will find a way to deal with it as best we can."
