The best thing about Peak Twins—beyond their music, style, or skills—is you can totally imagine their songs being belted out in a high school auditorium. These guys are just so likeable they would have been a perfect favourite band for your “greasy stage”.They must have worked out their appeal is somewhat nostalgic, because the clip for their song “So Long” really puts that vibe into overdrive. Maybe it’s the hand held camera that could have your dad behind it, or the shiny backdrop—who am I killing? It’s the killer sax that steals the show half way though. Where the hell were these guys when they got your weird drop out cousin to DJ the formal.“So Long” will be screening at the NGV as part of Wired For Melbourne Sound until 27 October.
