The Next on Tour Announces Lineups For Adelaide, Ballarat and Sydney

Hierophants, Power, The Rangoons and West Thebarton Brothel Party are just some of acts playing the next series of NEXT ON TOUR.

Herky post punkers Hierophants, 70s boogie rockers Power and the seven-headed garage monster West Thebarton Brothel Party are among the next wave of acts announced to play the NEXT ON TOUR series of summer gigs.

Noisey is teaming up with JD Future Legends to present the NEXT ON TOUR that hits six metro and regional cities around the nation, and showcases some of Australia’s rising musical talent.

Every show is free but you need to RSVP now!

Having kicked off in Melbourne where Sampa the Great destroyed the joint, the tour has moved on to the Gold Coast and is now is heading to Fremantle, Adelaide, Ballarat and Sydney.

West Thebarton Brothel Party are fun times, all the times. There are seven of them. Four of them hold guitars. You get the drift? They bring their chaotic garage rock to Adelaide’s Rocket Bar March 10 where they hook up with the synth oriented SKIES and Xanga.

Melbourne’s Power combine the best of 70s boogie and pub rock for a scorching set that mines Aussie rock legends the Colored Balls and the Saints. They load the van and head to Ballarat’s Eastern Hotel March 17 where they team up with locals lads LL Goons and Tropical Snakes. Just rip your sleeves off now.

Hierophants are from Melbourne by way of Geelong and play a jittery and unpredictable post punk that channels DEVO, Chuck Berry and late night drives down the Geelong Highway. They drive to Moonshine at Manly’s Hotel Steyne April 1 where they party with Sydney’s sensational Rangoons and Tim & the Boys.

Along the way we will be documenting each show of the tour in a series of band profiles, scene reports, mix-tapes and galleries.

Grab some earplugs and RSVP to get on the door list.
