This New Haim Song Is So So So So Good

Skip school, jump in the nearest El Camino you can, and blast this fucker out the windows. Loud.

One of the many, many awesome things about Haim is that they might signal a legitimate sea change in the arena of, well, arena rock. Though they read "indie," they've been embraced by an absurdly wide audience, having opened for Mumford and Sons and also appeared on Kid Cudi's album. This is great, mainly because the more people love Haim, the more it means that actually good guitar music is being embraced over Kings of Leon or whatever pack of bros are filling up arenas these days. "The Wire," their newest track, is pretty much everything for us over here at Noisey, featuring one of those once-in-a-lifetime monster riffs paired with drums that could fill up a football stadium in 1984. This song has swagger, too—check lead singer Danielle Haim's Springsteen-esque "Chickey-AHHH!" halfway through the track, which reminds us that despite the fact that most rock is kinda boring, a well-executed guitar banger can be the most fun thing ever of all time. Skip school, jump in the nearest El Camino you can, and blast this fucker out the windows. Loud.
